Canang Sari

Talking about Balinese culture, never apart from the religious affiliation of the Hindu people of Bali. In the Hindu concept of worship in the structures, which include: water, fire, flowers, fruit, leaves. In Balinese culture, this concept was put into practice in the form of art. One is the diversity of forms of offerings.
Canang sari is the simplest form of offerings, but is classified as a sufficient means to conduct worship. Canang sari itself means: an offering in the form of interest (component majority interest). Component sari:
- Coconut leaves as a base;
- Porosan (small form of dried coconut leaves containing white chalk);
- Slice bananas;
- Slice of sugarcane:
- Boreh miik (a kind of sweet-smelling powder);
- Kekiping (a type of glutinous rice cake is small and thin);
- On it laid flowers variegated (usually a color: white, yellow, red, green);

Fill Canang sari follows the rules set forth in the Lontar(Balinese book written on palm leaves). So, no cymbals extract taken from the Vedas, but the content of the Vedas which is then translated into a papyrus written by their ancestors in Bali.
Canang sari commonly used as offerings daily. While the days of religious, Canang sari used only as a complement. In those days, the Balinese use a variety of offerings in the higher level, the manufacturing and the rules it is much more complicated than Canang Sari
Canang sari is very easily available in traditional markets in Bali. The price is varied, but generally not too expensive. Denpasar and surrounding areas, the price of 25 pieces of Canang Sari Rp 6,000 – Rp 7,000 rupiah. On certain days, especially on the feast days, Canang sari experiencing surge price. Could reach Rp. 9,000 – Rp. 10,000 per 25 pieces.
Although simple, Canang sari is very popular and needed in Bali. In addition, the Canang sari is very pretty and beautiful to look at. Moreover, added incense on it and splash holy water, there is an aura of coolness that is emitted from the Canang sari.
